WolfHawke's Links

The Internet is a huge place and usually people don't know where to go for things they wish to find. Here are some of the places that I like to hang out. Some links are fun, others are useful and many are both. Surf and enjoy! (Please be aware that clicking on these links will open a new window.)

Top Left Corner   Fun Links Top Right Corner

Jonathan's Corner [http://www.jonathanscorner.com]
The website of an acquaintance of mine. It has some interesting prose and poetry, as well as a Christian role-playing game. Have a look!

Narnia [http://www.narnia.com]
Narnia was the world that got me started writing. Read here about C.S. Lewis's seven-book series that still enchants young and old alike. This site now links to the Chronicles of Narnia movie that is being released by Disney on Christmas of 2005.

C.S. Lewis Classics [http://www.cslewisclassics.com]
Visit here for some of C.S. Lewis's classic non-fiction writings. Deep, insightful, and still relevant today.

For Better Or For Worse [http://www.fbofw.com]
This is one of my absolutely most favorite comic strips ever! (Second only to Calvin and Hobbes). Have fun reading the daily strip.

Mark Brandis [http://www.markbrandis.de]
A very provocative German sci-fi series. This site details the background and stories of Mark Brandis and links to other websites where you can obtain e-Book versions of the series. Be aware, though that this site is in German!

Stephen Lawhead [http://www.stephenlawhead.com]
One of my more favorite authors. Especially his Pendragon Cycle is worth reading. Check out his official website.

Canterbury CT's Unofficial Town Forum [http://www.canterburyweb.com]
A lot of things are going on in Canterbury, CT. For those who are interested in keeping abreast of them and who want to find out the truth behind the lies, allegations, and things left unsaid, visit here. Please be advised that you'll have to register with the web site to read the bulletin board in its entirety.

Homestar Runner [http://www.homestarrunner.com]
Homestar Runner is supposedly the best athlete in town, but he's not the brightest bulb in the batch. That goes to the eternal melancholic Strong Sad. But the coolest of all is Strong Bad. What makes the villain the best guy in the show? Well, check it out. There's games, toons, downloads, and merchandise at this site. Its utterly vacuous and you'll waste hours there. Trust me. I know.

Ann Coulter's Website [http://www.anncoulter.com]
My only complaint about Ann is that she is so caustic. But she does have a good column that puts things in to perspective. We don't always agree, but I do enjoy reading this, and if you tend to be a bit more conservative in your political leanings, you might, too.

Rush Limbaugh [http://www.rushlimbaugh.com]
He's almost always right and he's got a really good sense of humor. Rush is officially America's #1 talk show host. Well, I enjoy him anyway, despite his sometimes somewhat pompous ways. He's got a good take on what's going on in the U.S. of A. and sometimes even what's going on in the rest of the world, albeit through an American lens. Unfortunately much of this site is paid access only, but it's worth a mention and the subscription fee isn't too bad.

foreversongs: Grief and God's Amazing Love [http://www.foreversongs.org]
If you're dealing with grief or loss, this is a place where you can find comfort from people who themselves have struggled through losing loved ones. Listen to the songs, hear the message and come away renewed!

Crosswalk.com Bible Study Tools [http://www.biblestudytools.net]
Lots of useful, albeit very old stuff on the Bible, including various translations, commentaries, lexicons, dictionaries, and sermon helps!

Bible Gateway [http://www.biblegateway.com]
On-line Bibles galore! Search many English translations on the Bible Gateway itself, or find links to Bibles in many different languages.

bibleserver.com [http://www.bibleserver.com]
A European on-line Bible site, with many, many translations in many different languages, including the new Turkish translation of the Bible. It's a good idea to sign up for this site to personalize it.

Institute of Basic Life Principles [http://www.iblp.org]
Bill Gothard’s Basic Life Principles seminar has touched the lives of countless people and driven them into a closer relationship with God. The principles taught by these courses have had quite an impact on me as well. I’ve always been impressed by Mr. Gothard’s great respect for the Word of God and his desire to get people to live according to its principles. This is a program that it would be good for every Christian to listen to.

Walking In Their Sandals [http://www.ancientsandals.com]
A cultural/historical/geographical look at the Promised Land. Developed by Dr. Terry Hulbert of Columbia International University, this site will give you deep insights into what the land was like that Abraham, Joshua, David, and Jesus lived in.
