Seer
Darkness lies over the Seven Nations. For hundreds of years the Warrior King has held despotic rule over the peoples, fostering their animosities, keeping war alive, persecuting those who wish to worship any besides the Warrior King himself. But the ancient prophecy has foretold one will arise to challenge him and return justice to the world.
Called from a tiny, insignificant village, Creon departs on a journey to meet his destiny in the Blue Mountains in the far east. But the Warrior King knows and he has dispatched his warlords...

The Wager
Strange things have begun to happen in Southall and Druin. A girl is kidnapped and is found again — as a mermaid. Young women are attacked by a dark shape, thought to be a vampire. And one child has been taken. Together the inhabitants of these towns try to stop three modern-day witches before they can take over their towns and then the world.

The second edition also contains the short story “Reunion”.
